Navigating through COVID-19 to deliver offshore grouting services to rectify a number of freespans along critical infrastructure, offshore Malaysia.

The Petroleum Arrangement Contractors (PACs) in Malaysia pool together their collective scope of works to procure offshore transportation and installation services in an integrated manner, ultimately reducing capital and operating expense for the individual operators.

A number of contractors and sub-contractors support operations from construction and new field developments, to inspection, repair and maintenance works, in various locations offshore Malaysia.

Cost focused solutions

Operating off the East-Coast Malaysia, our team corrected 36 critical freespans with support heights ranging from 300mm to 900mm, using our high-performance lightweight cementious grout materials, reducing our environmental impact and increasing installation efficiency.

Equipment and personnel were mobilised to Sarawak to join the vessel under strict COVID-19 management protocols, jointly developed by Vault Subsea, our client and the field owner.

They (Vault Subsea) assisted over and above their scope to ensure the project was a success, particularly with tight mobilisation windows and short installation timeframes.

Works were completed without incident and the crew and equipment safely demobilised from the vessel during September 2021.
